Treasury & Finance Convention 2024

The leading industry get-together for financial managers in Austria

The second Treasury & Finance Convention, organized by Schwabe, Ley & Greiner (SLG), took place from 11 to 13 September 2024 at the congress center Schladming and was an outstanding success with over 430 participants, 72 of whom were experts.

Following its premiere last year, this event established itself as an important event for financial managers in Austria. The 34 programme items covered important topics such as ESG, sustainability, digitalization, artificial intelligence and Europe as a business location. Particularly noteworthy was the intensive discussion on ESG and the green transformation of the financial sector, which gained additional relevance due to the current severe weather events.

Highlights included keynote speeches by Peter Filzmaier and Martin Schulz, who provided in-depth insights into the political situation and European economic strength. Filzmaier addressed the effects of social brutalization and the need for a qualitative discourse, while Schulz emphasized the importance of joint European strength in times of crisis.

Innovative financing strategies and the role of CFOs in a dynamic market environment were discussed in interactive workshops and panel discussions. The event allowed for extensive networking, rounded off by the welcome evening in the Hohenhaus Tenne and at the #glaubandich Austrian Night of Erste Bank and Sparkasse.

The Treasury & Finance Convention, which is organized according to the criteria of the "Austrian Ecolabel Green Meetings & Green Events", will take place again in Schladming from 10 to 12 September 2025.
