Treasury Transformation at BAUER AG: Lessons Learned from an International Construction Group
Description
Together with Barbara Jakob, who is responsible for the Middle & Back Office division within the Group Treasury department at BAUER AG, we share our experiences from projects in cash management, payment processing, liquidity planning, and foreign exchange risk management at an internationally active construction and mechanical engineering company.
We also highlight the findings from the joint treasury review project and the key factors for a successful treasury transformation. In doing so, we demonstrate how established structures and processes were overhauled and optimized, and how the treasury function was brought up to state-of-the-art standards both organizationally and operationally.
The BAUER Group operates internationally and is organized into three business divisions—BAUER Specialized Civil Engineering, BAUER Machinery, and BAUER Resources—and comprises over 100 subsidiaries and affiliated companies worldwide.
